Job description | We are currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team and help to take us to the next level. Based on site in Dublin, the successful candidate will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, to maximise commercial returns & manage risk. |

Responsibilities | Support the commercial team
Carry out the following under supervision:
• Prepare tenders – measure, put into packages, analyse
• Prepare variations/valuations
• Prepare Final Accounts
• Prepare s/c valuations & Final Accounts
• Attend site/subcontractor meetings
• Liaise with site management
Take responsibility for:
• Maintaining site records, control documents
• Measuring progress on site
• Consider Risk & opportunity
- CVR
• Assist as required
- Cash management
• Consider
• Understand & assist in the implementation of the commercial strategy
• At all times act in a suitable & professional manner
• Involved with & take some responsibility on traditional contracts
• Involvement but no responsibility for:
• Negotiation with subcontractors
• Interpretation of contract law |

Skills required | • Ability to effectively utilise a range of Microsoft Office tools
• Be fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement
• Demonstrate potential for clear written & oral communications
• Demonstrate ownership/commercial awareness
• Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Flexible and adaptable to work challenges and open to learn and develop skills
• Ability to multi-task and work to a high standard consistently
• A high standard of written and spoken English
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
• Willingness to travel as required
• Full drivers’ licence. |
